  1. Open Settings, then Connectors, then Add custom connector.
  2. Name it AI Mail and paste https://aimailmcp.com/mcp as the server URL, then add it.
  3. Choose Connect and sign in with your email and the code we send. On the allow screen, tick allow managing the account so Claude can create your free sandbox.

Claude Code:

claude mcp add --transport http aimail https://aimailmcp.com/mcp

Run /mcp inside Claude Code and choose aimail to sign in.

What you can ask Claude

Claude reads through the same tools an agent would: list_messages, triage_inbox, get_thread, reply and the rest. See the tool reference.

What keeps it safe

Inbound mail is scored for prompt injection and a flagged message has its body withheld from Claude. Rules never send. Outgoing mail passes a guard, and the sign-in uses OAuth 2.1 with PKCE, so no password or API key goes into the chat. How the checks work.

Cost

Start with a free 15-day sandbox, no card. After that it is prepaid, from $10, priced per unit with no subscription. Pricing.

Frequently asked questions

How do I connect AI Mail to Claude?

In claude.ai or Claude Desktop, open Settings, then Connectors, then Add custom connector, and paste the AI Mail server URL. In Claude Code, run claude mcp add --transport http aimail with the same URL.

Does Claude need my password?

No. Sign-in uses OAuth 2.1 with PKCE and an emailed code, so no password or API key is pasted into the chat.

Can Claude send email from the connector?

Yes, if the connection is allowed to send. Sending is capped per day and passes an outgoing guard, and a credential going to a first-time recipient is held until an owner approves it.

Does it work with ChatGPT too?

Yes. Any client that supports remote MCP with OAuth 2.1 can use the same server URL.
